Ever wonder what goes on behind the lead up to that first sip of coffee every morning?
Well we’re here to tell you! Whether it's for your morning pick-me-up, to catch up with a loved one, or simply because you love the taste, coffee is one of the world’s most popular drinks for a reason. It is also a wonderful part of the Doghouse experience as so many of our lovely customers enjoy our coffee on a regular basis.

Doghouse have partnered with Extract Coffee, who are a local roastery based only 16 miles away and they really know what they’re doing when it comes to all things coffee. We love the one simple mission that Extract lives by: “make coffee better”. They emphasise that with more knowledge, passion, and great sourcing, they find better coffees, roast them better and ultimately brew them better too. This is something that really shines through, all the way from the process of picking the beans to that first delicious sip our customers enjoy whilst relaxing at Doghouse.
In line with Bradford on Avon’s wonderful efforts in becoming a carbon neutral town, all of Extract’s coffee is sourced ethically and sustainably from farmers around the world.
To ensure that Doghouse staff are always at the top of their game when it comes to coffee making, Extract host training afternoons which all of our lovely shop girls have attended.
We’ve learnt a whole array of skills from the perfect love heart in latte art to getting that espresso shot just right - with a lot of spills along the way!
Our milk is a local, organic and non-homogenised jersey milk that comes from Ivy House Farm, a nearby dairy farm who focus on the well-being of their cows. All their cows have names and you can get to know a little bit about them on the Ivy House website, such as how Gloria likes a good scratch behind the ears, and how Ana is always up for having her photo taken!
Ivy House produce exceptional quality milk which has even been flown around the world to be used in international coffee championships, it’s just that good.
We also offer three plant milk options by Alpro: coconut, oat and soy milk, for those wanting a vegan alternative.
Extract have helped the Doghouse team to really perfect our skills with this range of milks, ensuring the right amount of foam on a cappuccino or the silky texture of a latte.
With summer now in full swing, we have introduced a range of iced coffee for these warmer summer months which we hope you will love as much as we do!
